这支来自英国的老牌Gothic/Death Metal乐队自95年的Draconian Times表现一直差强人意。对这张专辑有评论认为是对其早期风格的回归和体认。粗略听了一下，整体性上保持较好，不像Macbeth新专辑那样支离破碎。细节方面，限于所知，提几点：专辑中没有女声，没有弦乐，Nick Holmes也没有真的像91年的Gothic那样以死嗓歌唱；有大量的合声。比较01年的Believe In Nothing，电子迷幻味有所减弱。如果以杀伤力五为最高指数的话，我对这张评价是百分之五十。我的理解是，在寻求突破创作瓶径和把握已得利益之间，Paradise Lost以这张同名新作做了妥协。
