这两张相隔一年时间发行的《Dead lovers'Sarabande》，被评为新古典音乐十佳唱片。专辑运用了精致完整的和弦以及大量铜管乐器元素。

专辑的打头曲以一片死寂中几不可闻的脚步声和钟摆声开始，正当听者疑心自己误入吸血鬼的城堡时，断续优美的小提琴又十分诡异地响起。使人仿佛置身亡灵巫师因焚烧尸体而浓烟滚滚的祭坛。当迷失在铜管和提琴编织的奇妙旋律中时，Anna的声音响起，这是所能想象到的最悲苦的声音。听完这首长达7分钟的开头曲后，已经完全进入这座阴影演出者的剧场。接下来一曲短小的《The Dog Burial》则带来极大的震撼，在更加诡异的乐曲中会听到扭曲凄苦的声音。随着旋律的展开，仇恨和悲苦像铅块重压，那因受煎熬而扭曲颤抖的声音给带来的震撼是无法形容的。

当专辑在一首舒缓的弦乐曲中结束时，随着最后一声余韵的敛去，一切都归于沉寂。那梦一样的演出展示了一个诅咒之地的景象，听到了一个痛苦灵魂的哭诉……

 阴暗新古典的大牌 sopor aeternus 今年也发了新唱片《la chambre d'echo-where the dead birds sing》。令人惋惜的是sopor aeternus在上张专辑就已经很少运用那些古典和民族乐器了，在演唱上你也听不到曾经的悲苦。这张新专辑的电子味超级的浓，现在称它为新古典有些牵强了，不如说是EBM更合适。真是不喜欢，没听完就关了。
